I do a lot of different things in my professional life, including flying helicopters as an instructor and contract pilot, writing magazine articles, and shooting air-to-air photography. Here are some places to learn more:

Flying and Journalism:

I have a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. I've been published regularly since 1991. I was a staff reporter in newspapers from 1992 through 1998, when I took my first public relations job. I've remained employed in PR ever since, but have freelanced on a very regular basis in magazines and newspapers ever since, covering topics from helicopters to cars, dogs, and the finer points of proper collision repair paint techniques. Yes, I lead the glamorous life.

I've been a helicopter pilot since 1996. I have 1,500+ hours in helicopters and hold commercial, instrument, flight instructor and instrument instructor ratings. I've flown in Washington, Minnesota, Hawaii, California, Nevada, British Columbia and Texas.
