Wordless Wednesday

Ok, I’m not a big meme follower, but when my new pal Julie from Angry Julie Monday invited me to link up, I figured what the heck.

When I was three, my mom took a picture of me in this outfit on the porch of our house. I was wearing socks and brown sandals. We recently found a few of my little outfits my mom saved. This fit Sweetness so I put her on the porch and shot a similar shot. I hope I can find the original of me. I had the same blond, curly fly-away hair. If I find the one of me, I’ll repost side by side.

My cutie patootie and the poochies.

Get this photo painted as a portrait! It is perfect and an absolutely beautiful capture of her whole personality… stop reading this… go… do it, now… I’m not kidding… this is a beautiful subject to have painted in oils or watercolor… a wonderful heirloom… thanks for a great sharing… look forward to your next visit…

Thanks Sharlene. That’s such a sweet thing to say. She does have a lot of personality, that’s for sure. This girl wears me out, and I’m already scared to death of her teen years.

I LOVE that picture of Sweetness! I think that is my favorite so far. What a cute smile! It is so cool that you were able to put one of your old outfits on her.

I will “see” you tonight. 😉 And since you already have the post…feel free to link up with me today too.

Thanks LeeAnn. “See” you tonight. I’ll head over and link up. Thanks also for the nice comment on the “boys.” They’re so neglected these days. All the love and attention seems to go to the kids. They’re learning to get love from the kids now, though.

I would love to see the side by side!

I know, I’ve asked my mom to dig it out. I know she has it somewhere. It’s just that she just moved so it might be a bit as she tries to find everything, let alone this photo. 🙂

That’s so awesome that your mom saved your clothes. Which reminds me that I have an outfit of mine that I need to get Chloe in, but it’s totally 70’s, and not cute like the one sweetness is wearing. Such a cute picture!

We are going to try and make the webinar tonight…TRY! TRY TRY!

She only saved a few, and only two of the outfits fit Sweetness. The rest are too small. They both look adorable though. Sadly, this outfit was so old that it started to come apart when I put it on her. You can’t tell the crotch has a hole where the seam came apart. I put it on her long enough to get shots like the ones of me when I was little.

Oh, so cute. Love that she’s wearing your little girl outfit. Your picture and hers side by side, that would be so wonderful to see 🙂 And I bet both of you will treasure those pictures for years to come.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. When I get that shot from mom, I’m going to have the two framed side by side, twice. One will be for me, and one will be for my Sweetness when she gets older. Maybe for a baby shower gift when she’s expecting her first baby.

Too Cute. She is just adorable. I am also a reluctant meme follower. I think it is my whole committment phobia thing. I am glad you took the plunge!

Commitment phobia! LOL! I think for me it’s just not wanting to do the same thing week in and week out. I have to admit, I enjoy looking at the photos on Wednesdays. 🙂

Your daughter is adorable! And what a cute outfit. All of the outfits my mom saved from my childhood are of the corduroy bellbottom variety. How did you get so lucky?

LOL, I am not sure. There were these two cute shirt and shorts outfits my mom always had from my childhood and they’re size 2 and 3. They both just fit. Talk about fortuitous. 🙂
