Halloween Memories

In the tradition of the blog world’s Wordless Wednesday, which I can never do right because I feel the need to write, here are some adorable shots of my Princess and her Frog.

We took the kids to an area shopping center where each store celebrates Halloween by giving candy to the local young kids who come by in costume. Hundreds joined in and it was an absolute fun (and safe) time for all. (Out of respect for my local Seatlleites, I haven’t included any photos with other kids that can be identified.)

Mr. Man started walking the day before Halloween, allowing us to get this adorable shot - my favorite.

The obligatory sit by your pumpkins on the porch shot.

My adorable cuties. You can see the hoards in the background. We were glad we got there when it started.

Synchronized pumpkin diving.

The Princess ended the night by giving her frog a kiss. On the forehead.

And the sweetest part is the frog costume was Sweetness’s first Halloween costume, and I was thrilled her little brother could wear it on his very first trick or treating experience. My first costume was also a frog. But no where near as cute. Remember those plastic suits with a mask. Yeah. Not cute.

So cute! I love their costumes. It’s so nice that you have a community place to trick-or-treat.

The last picture is precious!

Thanks so much. It really is cool that we have this neighborhood place to go. It’s perfect for kids this age. It’s light, nothing’s really scary and they’re safe. Lots of fun for them. Sometimes whole families dress up and it’s so cool to see.

Aw, they are adorable! That’s great that Mr. Man started walking & could enjoy the festivities. Oh, man, I do remember those awful mask costumes – so glad they have better options for kids these days:)

It’s hard to imagine these days that we used to have those terrible, unimaginative costumes, isn’t it? They were hot, uncomfortable and really looked dorky. Kids these days just don’t know how good they have it. 🙂

okay i got sidetracked by the lure of kids in costumes. they are precious! it took me until the last photo to realize that it was “the princess and the frog”. great idea and very sweet that she wore that costume too.
