First Haircut, Mommy Style

So it was time. My little dude was looking a little shaggy. He sported his own toddler mullet, complete with hair growing over his ears.

It was time.

"You're going to do what?" Notice the mullet in the back and the shaggy flyaways over his ears.

So I hauled the little dude into the bathroom, gave him a toothbrush to play with, slapped on an old bib and went to it.

Soon delusions I was going to give him a perfect haircut were shattered by his constant twisting and slapping away my hand. But we eventually got there, while daddy distracted him by taking photos.

Eventually, after many tears and not a few close snips, we got the results we were looking for.

He's not so sure about the hairdo.

More or less.

After a good cry, it's important to blow your nose. I hope he wasn't crying about mommy's hack job.

Cuuute 🙂 DS just got his first salon haircut. Afterwards I decided it wasn’t worth the $13, and that I can do just as good a job–with scissors!–at home. I had been doing just buzz cuts with our trimmer.
